The lake is about 2 acres in size and has many features, such as gravel bars, drop offs, plateaus, and a lily bed. Our well-established lake has a lot of natural food for the fish to thrive on.
There are 18 pegs and depths of 5 feet at the south end to 16 feet at the north end. The most popular methods are feeder and ledger fishing, but pole fishing for silvers can be very rewarding.
We have a large head of Mirror and Common Carp, ranging from single figures up to 30LB as well as specimen Tench, Grass Carp, Bream, and Rudd, as well as Roach up to 3LB 10oz. For winter fishing, there is a large head of Pike weighing up to 29.5lb.
Tree-lined banks all around the lake give plenty of cover for the fish in the summer months, but when the sun is full on the open water they can be seen in their shoals sunbathing near the surface; a sight not to be missed!
By late afternoon to early evening you just have to get a line in the edge, where you will find all the big fish grubbing around for leftover bait.
Pre-booking for this lake is advisable but not essential, unless you require a specific peg. Please be aware that your peg booking will not be secure unless it has been paid for at the time of booking.

This lake is great for pleasure fishing but is also used for accommodating organised match fishing, corporate events, coaching days, and day-ticket fishing. It’s ideal for anglers wanting to test their fishing skills and catch a large mixed bag of fish.
It’s a 1.5-acre lake with depths of 5 feet on the south end to 12 feet on the north end, with shallower waters in the margins. It has recently been re-stocked with Ide, Bream, Tench, Perch, Roach, Barble, Crucian, Chub, Mirror, and Common Carp, and also holds many F1 Carp and Ghost Carp up to 20LB.
It has 43 permanent pegs, some of which are wheelchair accessible and disabled-friendly.
The east side of the lake is less steep than the west side and easily accessible with a lot of excellent pegs mainly used for feeder fishing. Pole fishing is also very popular on this lake.
If you require car parking behind your peg, the east side is best. There’s no need to book pegs on this lake to pleasure fish and it’s easily accessible with use of full toilet facilities and our café, be it a pre-fishing breakfast or a drink while fishing.
